The Point Of It

Integration

The rig exists to run Hermes and Home Assistant. A 120B model with hands on the house — and a policy against slop.

The chain

request flow — LAN only
Telegram / HA voice / cron job
        |
Hermes Agent — tools, memory, scheduling
        |
      SolarAI V2 endpoint — Strata QWEN3.8-120b, 33.4 tps
        |
Home Assistant — lights, scripts, cameras, sensors

      the physical world

Every hop is on the local network. A prompt about the driveway camera leaves the phone, hits the rig, comes back as an answer, and Home Assistant acts on it. Nothing crosses an API boundary. The model that reads the house's data lives in the house.

What the model actually does

The no-slop policy

This machine does not generate content. No blog posts, no product descriptions, no synthetic engagement. It answers questions about the house, watches things that matter, and does paperwork.

A 120B model burning a kilowatt of sunshine deserves a job with consequences. When it says "the driveway is clear," somebody's evening depends on the answer being right. That is the standard the rig is built to serve — and the reason a local model is worth a kilowatt and a grand: the model that's accountable is the one you own.
